Be Spiritual, Then

Be Spiritual, Then

Quickly, I am going to cover a few ideas about being "spiritual". What it is and isn't. And what's useful and what's useless.

Spirituality as Holism

First, being religious is not necessarily being spiritual but it is being religious, for sure. Holism is the best definition of being spiritual which means:

"theory that parts of a whole are in intimate interconnection, such that they cannot exist independently of the whole, or cannot be understood without reference to the whole, which is thus regarded as greater than the sum of its parts. Holism is often applied to mental states, language, and ecology."

Now, the question you need to ask yourself is, Who am I? What am I here to do? How can I be a healthy part of a larger system? What does an unhealthy part of a larger system look like? And so on.

There are various "spaces" for your analysis and introspection, including relationships to yourself; relationships to others; relationships to the world (environment) around you.

The great Buddhist teacher, Ken Wilber, delineated several areas for fine tuning in his writings, from a person's interior (mind, emotions, physical health, etc.) to the outer (relationships, technology, career,etc.). He called this his AQAL model. Which means All Quadrants, All Levels. Which is pretty bad-ass if you ask me.

Science is always an attempt to delineate how things work or might work. Once these are known, they become the rules. To be spiritual or ecological, means getting yourself in sync with the rules so that you are a healthy part of a larger system.

Spirituality Works

Countries: There are some fantastic examples of ecology at work. Right now, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden and other countries are taking stray dogs off of the street, declaring some towns automobile free and are recycling so much trash they have run out of trash to recycle. These moves won't stop global warming, stop animal cruelty or keep millions of pounds of plastic from being dumped into the ocean, but they are the intelligent, spiritual thing to do.

Communities: Religious communities come to mind and some have accomplished already what some highly educated philosophers and policy makers cannot. Take for example a religious group like the Jehovah's Witnesses.  This is a group of people that has virtually no drug addicts. No one doing hard time. A divorce rate that is closer to three percent than the national average which is closer to fifty percent. No suicides. No one taking prescription meds that doesn't honestly need it. Very, very few cases of alcoholism and so on. Absolutely no hate crimes or hate speech. No hate crimes or irresponsible behavior against the earth itself or wildlife. This is not a group of a hundred people who are all African or all Caucasion but an international group of some three million people (during the 1990's--a group 1.5 times the size of Phoenix) that spans the entire globe. Contrast those numbers against the population at large and you will see a large accomplishment. Their philosophies are simple and bible-based. Jurgen Habermas doesn't write their study material.

The rulers and governors of our countries have no idea how to create a society of people that work to gether so harmoniously (unless the entire country was Caucasian or Jewish like Israel) but it can be done. There are many examples to take something from. You don't have to be as naïve or devout as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Individuals: There are too many gurus out there to choose from. Find one who embodies what you want to become (even if it's a fictional character). Which brings me to my next section:

Prayer, Worship, Meditation and Ritual

There are many purposes that a religious group or a secular philosophy study group can facilitate, including community and personal development. At the "end" of your personal development, you are supposed to achieve a stage of maturation. In Christianity, this is referred to as the "Christ Consciousness" in Buddhism, the "Buddha-Nature". In philosophy, "Enlightenment".

Prayer, worship, meditating, participating in rituals etc. is intended to solidify your commitment to the group, show appreciation for your teacher (or God) and help you redefine yourself as a student or member of a school of thought. At the end of your training (which never ends) you will achieve what all groups call "non-duality". Which means there is no difference between yourself and the guru or yourself and the scriptures or yourself and whatever school of thought you subscribe to.

Those who achieve non-duality are often so congruent that they are charismatic and attract followers. These people also stand in stark contrast to most politicians and cops, who are one person in front of you but somebody else in secret (like on Skynet, for example). And no one wants to emulate them. Most presidents and politicians cannot get on television and tell you to live a conservative, mindful lifestyle because they don't do it themselves.

(Speaking of meditating there are excellent cd's by Dr. Lloyd Glauberman that help with influencing your subconscious mind. You listen to one side of the cd per night using headphones ONLY. They are very inexpensive and very effective. I don't make anything for this endorsement.)

Nihilism, Me-ism, and Narcissism

There is really no place for narcissism or me-ism in spirituality. People who are full of greed or fear or pride tend to act irrationally even if it's costly to the group. Sometimes they are a danger to themselves.

With regards to Friedrich Nietzsche's ideas on nihilism, he was advocating the judgement of a superman--not the judgement of a spoiled kid or an irrational adult--but one who had achieved "mastery over oneself" and one who had escaped the herd mentality. I think he would balk at the idea of those who live extravagant lifestyles at the cost of everyone else around them. It's not sustainable. Even now we have to out-innovate our levels of consumption otherwise we will run out of oxygen and clean drinking water and possibly food. After tens of thousands of years of lush green vegetation and blue oceans, we have managed to set the world on course for an ecological disaster with just the last seventy five years of consumption habits.

Obstacles to Spirituality

Obstacles to your "non-duality" are usually the choices you make. Who do you hang out with? Do they have the same goals? What kind of entertainment do you watch? Is there any kind of entertainment that you refuse to watch because it disagrees with your philosophy (or vows)? Do you have a regular routine in place for meditating or practicing? What do you do if a supervisor or employer asks you to do something that is immoral? Is there any kind of material that would adulterate your mind, body or spirit? Do you read material that inspires hate or irrational fear?

Don't balk at the idea of studying a philosophy or a religion with a group. A surprising number of mensans are Christian or conscientiously practice some formal type of philosophy or religion. It's the idiots or immature who believe they don't need to listen to anyone else.

Once you have achieved your stage of maturation you can then make your own decisions based on your own judgement. "Beyond good and evil" as Nietzsche said.

In Conclusion

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
Galatians 5: 22-26

That I.Q. Thing...

That I.Q. Thing by Titus Anderson

I don't remember exactly when, but when I was about 20 years old or so, I became interested in the subject of creativity and I.Q. This would have been around the year 1989, as I am forty seven today. Since then, the internet has come along and a plethora of new research and constant stream of information has become available. From time to time I keep my ear to the ground to see what is new. I thought I would take a minute here to post a few things I have learned over the years for those interested.

Frist of all, I.Q. is important because it is the study of your capacity as well as efficiency at solving problems. The benefits of this are obvious to all who recruit students, hire at companies or grant research money to researchers as well as to those who apply or need work or have problems to solve. Also, there is great satisfaction to be had when one beats a puzzle or a competitor or surprises oneself with a new invention.

From this point in the blog I will cover a few areas of interest in brief sections:

IQ Points

The median i.q. is 100 points. The standard deviation on most i.q. scales is 15 points and different societies, like Mensa, require a standard deviation of at least two for  membership. This is not easy for most people since the odds are about one in fifty for a person to have this kind of talent. Other societies for the gifted like the Prometheus Society or Giga, may require three or four standard deviations for membership. These individuals become even more rare with the odds of an individual being born with this kind of talent being one of 100,00 and so on.

Also, I.Q. points become more significant and logarithmically more difficult to achieve the higher you go on the scale. For example, a person with an i.q. of 100 points may be able to remember a 10 digit phone number with little difficulty but a person with an i.q. of say, 165, may be able to remember several hundred digits of random numbers for several days or weeks. That is more than a 65% per cent in crease in ability! One gentlemen with an i.q. of 200 (one of the highest and most rare) was able to memorize some 1600 pages of text.

If you are wondering why those with higher i.q's are able to graduate early or take multiple classes at the same time, it is because their memory is far better than normal.

Activities for I.Q.

Are there any activities that you can adopt or practice for your i.q.? Playing an instrument (especially early in life), jogging, lifting moderate weights, juggling or drumming, learning a foreign language (especially early in life) and even some audio cd's claim to increase (albeit temporarily) interhemispheric communication (and thus i.q.) within the brain. Also, some applications for your smartphone like Elevate and Luminosity claim to increase your i.q.,

NOTE on brain games: The ability to increase raw ability or "capacity" is not the same thing as "efficiency" with what you have been practicing (math or guitar or Spanish). Your innate abilities will tap out somewhere and that is what I.Q. tests attempt to measure. For example, how many times can you double the number 49 in your head before you have to stop will tell you your capacity. How quickly and error-free you get to your limit is your efficiency.

Best Way to Learn

#1 With a tutor.
#2 In a classroom.
#3 On your own with a book.

Connections are made and kept with those with high i.q.'s (people with Asperger's Syndrome). For the rest of us, periodic studying, review and testing will help you retain what you have learned.

On graduation day from University, the average graduate has an I.Q. of 120 points (still well below Mensa) but it starts to decrease the day they step off of the campus.

Ideation

The ability to generate ideas is not the same thing as I.Q. If you have a knack for writing lyrics, designing websites, public speaking, or writing books or directing movies, that's great. A high i.q. doesn't mean you can do these things as fluently.

"Brain Food"

Fish, walnuts, ketones and possibly yogurt. (Your brain needs a lot of oxygen and sugar.)

Epigenetics and Ontology

"What you create, creates you in return." is a general axiom of "ontology". This can influence your i.q. For example language. Your facility with language (It's on i.q. tests as well as your SAT's.) has everything to do with your original tongue and may influence your brain's development and i.q. .

How intelligent you sound or how articulate you are usually has to do with practice (did you spend time reading outloud for others as a child?) and what your parents or school or culture wanted you to sound like. African people raised in the suburbs usually sound like they are "white" and if you hand them a guitar, will probably sound like they are "white" and not African, whatever that is. This is not because of their DNA but because of ontology. African's born in Great Britain sound proper and British, not at all like the scum of Skid Row, Los Angeles CA, from where I currently write this blog.

Epigeneticss is the study of your dna's expression over time (several generations) and what influences it's expression (environment, food, stress, parents, music & culture, wealth or poverty). It is a known fact that one of the most telling betrayals of those who tend  to to well at the University or gain admission to a top Univerisity is having parents who were also at top Universities or who are professionals. This does not account for the "outliers" who are in the top 5 percent of ability.

As far as culture or races are concerned, your innate tongue, vocation and your diet and environment will all have an influence on what traits and genes become dominant over several generations

10,000 Hours of Practice?

Malcolm Gladwell famously quipped that it takes 10,000 hours of practive to become an expert in a subject. This has been debated constantly but I think one thing is useful: Some of those you may compete with may have been practicing since they were teenagers.  A young man raised by professionals may have been required to add an extra 10-20 hours of practice per week to his math studies. By the time you meet him at age 22, he may have the equivalent of  a bachelor's degree in math while his peers are still learning.

Circumstances

What do Leonardo da Vinci, Tony Stark, DARPA and Alan Turing and even the United Sstates have in common? Two very imporatant things for innovation: War and money. It is a known fact that a number of resourceful companies, countries and even individuals become highly creative at times of war but also have the resources and liesure to investigate, practice and execute.

As an aside, some European contries that have always been white, are not necessarily hubs of innovation, and some are actually failed states economically and philosophically. I bring this up because some argue that being Caucasian is equivalent with being "superior".

Multiple Types of Intelligence

Howard Gardner, the famed Harvard psychologist has delineated several types of intelligence of a human being for a more holistic evaluation. There are: Music, Bodily-Kinesthetic, Logical-Mathematical, Linguistic, Spatial, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Ecological-Existential.

I'll leave you to research these on your own. Suffice it to say that human beings require a number of different faculties to be calibrated to make smart decisions about the world they live in not just math, for example.

Psychological Traits

This section is mostly anecdotal since you will find exceptions constantly. However, suffice it to say, you will find more mensans in physics and research labs then you will in say, Hollywood or truck driving school.

The gifted tend to be fiercely independent. This is sometimes displayed in a disdain for BS and BS artists (politicians, etc.) They will sometimes ignore conventional modes of dress or style. They tend to pride themselves for not being "under the influence" (of culture, tv, propagandists, etc.).

They tend to enjoy using their wits the way professional athletes or boxers enjoy living by their ability to compete athletically. Hence, hours spent studying or researching may be quite pleasurable.

Nicknames. Nicknames are not uncommon at all but sometimes I can't help but notice that a lot of the gifted tend to have nicknames. Maybe this is because they are more likely to be "individuals". One young girl who comes to mind with an exceptional i.q. in the 170 range, changed her legal name to reflect how she felt about herself. Her new name would now be Promethea Olympia Kyrene Pythaitha. (Her original name was Jasmine.) Another fellow I know of is called "Scorpion".

  • Read more about the Stanford program for gifted children where Jasmine is a student.
Jasmine Lee, a seven-year-old Montanan with an IQ of 173. She spoke in complete sentences at six months, and was writing at the age of one. She reads Homer and studies quantum physics. She loves learning, and studies 14 hours a day. Too smart for first grade, she is taught by her mother at home, and through a Stanford-run gifted student program that uses the Internet. When she's nine, she'll go off to college. But by taking this unusual path, has she given up essential social development?

The gifted  also tend to appreciate ecology, systems and intelligence and can't understand why the masses can't alter their lifestyles according to the newest feedback. Drive electric, dammit.

Chris Langdon Interview

(Even our inability to get the trash properly separated and recycled is a HUGE failure of all. According to Davos we have gone through a year's worth of resources in eight months. Have you done anything to curb your consumption by 33%? No? Nothing? Not even meatless Mondays?)

Also facility with at least one musical instrument seems to also be common. Sports and competitions (like chess or gaming) is also common.

Devices for Your Brain

There are a few devices created with the idea in mind to 1.)increase neuroplasticity within the brain 2.)increase interhemispheric communication and 3.) supplements specifically for your brain.

At this time I am not going to go into a lengthy explanation of these devices (transcranial direct current stimulation) but here are a few links for your own research:

Vielight
HaloNeuro
Soterix

You can find cheaper models if you google "tcds machines".

Audio CD's
Although the cd's don't claim to increase i.q., they do often claim to increase "neuroplasticity". Here is an example to check out: Centerpointe

Supplements for your brain, commonly called nootropics. You can research this on your own but a few links to get you started:

[This blog isn't finished yet.]

There are also newsletters and podcasts devoted to this subject.

How necessary is this stuff anyway? Well, that depends upon you. That's the relative answer. Jordan Ellenberg a mathematical prodigy who wrote the book, "How Not To Be Wrong" says that plenty of mathematical breakthroughs have been accomplished by people with ordinary i.q.'s. Further, he says that "genius is something that happens, not something that you are". Which I find to be an amusing counterpoint to what is commonly thought of about geniuses. Lastly, Malcolm Gladwell also noted that the world is run by people with i.q.'s in the 120's.

In absolute terms we can say that it is the reason for our well being and progress. People with high range intelligences are more likely to patent products, start a company, get a professorship, find grant money, choose where and how they live, live longer and retire with money in the bank. In fact, if you were 21 years old with the option of having a million dollars or an i.q. of 132 you better pick the i.q. of 132 without the million dollars. Smart people are more likely to keep the money they make. Low i.q. people are apt to lose it.

The credit for the information in this last paragraph is owed to Jonathan Wai, a researcher in psychometrics and the gifted.

In Conclusion

I tested my own I.Q. in my 20's and it was above average but not exceptional. The future hold promise: synthetic biology, CRISPR, nootropics, stem cells and the like will change our lives for the better and longer. We must create a worldcentric ecosystem not an ethnocentric ecosystem that behaves as though guided by the invisible hand of intelligence. That is how we all surive and thrive and find fulfillment. Not by being at war. War is killing the planet. Idiot.

I Don't Believe Trump Won

I don't believe Trump won the Presidency. I don't believe your vote matters. I don't believe the statistics on TV.

I believe the reporting is "gamified" to keep people watching. Obviously.

I think Trump stopped himself. His background (compulsive liar, misogynist, racist, possible tax evasion, possible treasonous relationships with Russia) and knowledge of our constitution as well as international politics is atrocious.

Hillary Clinton is just the opposite. It never was a contest. Educated Americans are not supposed to be celebrating his win unless you stand to gain something personally.

I think condemnations by the last five living Presidents as well as several newspapers and magazines that are historically neutral stopped him as well.

I believe Trump was given the Presidency to satiate demographics in America (and Russia?) that want a Republican (read: white) President after looking at O'Bama for the last eight years.

All Presidents are actors who read scripts into the camera.

I don't think your vote matters.

Reflecting on Twelve Years of Wrongful Homelessness

Well, friends, I don't know how many of you have been following my story over the years...I could never have imagined I would be approaching my twelfth year (January 2017) in homelessness. When I was window washing in Phoenix, I used to ask myself, I wonder where I'll be this winter at Christmas...I wonder where I'll be next year...I only intended to wash windows temporarily to survive and outrun my next meal (which I did) but temporary turned into six years and three months. Some twenty thousand miles on foot (no exaggeration) while carrying extra weight on my person.

ANYWAY, I am currently in Los Angeles (my favorite city) but in the Skid Row district which is nasty, dangerous. I am going to divide this post into three sections so if you are new to my sites this post should bring you up to speed so you don't have to read through a ton of stuff (unless it's my twitter @TitusAnderson which has a ton of good stuff on it accumulated over the last few years).

1. The Accident
2. Operation Birddog and Quantum Radio
3. Reflections

The Accident

Almost eightteen years ago, there were a group of friends and myself who went out to a bar in Scottsdale. We met some girls there at the bar and they wanted to go back to my friend's apartment which wasn't far away (about four minutes). We went back there and started to hang out. I can't go into a lot of detail at the moment because I would be volunteering their side of the story. But, suffice it to say that an attempt at sex was made. Keep in mind that we had JUST met the girls about thirty minutes ago (Hahaha....).

Anyway it didn't go as one would think it should (me) and the police were called. Even though it was consensual, it turned out to be a mistake, not intentional by any means. Also she was struck in the back that evening (not by me) after intercourse, which sent her to the floor crying.

Whoops. (Last one to the car is a rotten egg.)

Anyway, my friend and I passed the paramedics and the police while in my car on our way out of the complex . She was outside apparently giving them a report.

This for me, became a somewhat complex situation. The fact that she was hit after intercourse suddenly turned what was a bad idea into a violently dangerous situation by anyone hearing about this second hand--and that includes a judge and/or police.

Fortunately, that never happened. The person who owned the apartment where this incident took place, returned her purse to her the following day. Neither she nor the police pressed charges.

I never did speak to her again, but I did run into her a couple of times around Tempe and Scottsdale. She didn't say anything but she didn't appear to be angry or alarmed by the site of me either...

Operation Birddog and Quantum Radio

Several years later while living in Los Angeles and working as a salesperson in Westlake Village, I started getting "manipulated". Although I was dealing with some personal issues at the time, there was something else going on but it was "subliminal". There was the faint beating of drums in the background of my mind...somewhere back there...faintly there...almost imperceptible...

Some time passes...a few months...

BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. The sound was loud now. On top of me and all around me. I was being harassed to go back to Phoenix. This was accomplished by choreographed harassment and subtle communication as well as drug poisoning. Boom.

It became clear to me that the accident with myself and "Amber" had come up again somehow. That someone had heard about what happened and was taking the law into their own hands. I suspected that someone to be either the police or some sort of gang activity. There were simply to many people involved for it to be a single individual.

I ended up running for my life through several places: Mexico (there is a short story about this somewhere in the blog list). Orlando. Oakland. Phoenix. Los Angeles. San Francisco, etc...

I ended up meeting with the FBI several times over several years but nothing was ever accomplished by it. Then about six years ago, something became clear: I (and the accident) was being written into a large number of media: movies, tv, music, billboards, newspapers and the like.

The idea became clear. My job was to follow what was being published and to  play along. Which I did. There were THOUSANDS of instructions to move, (something that continues to this very day by way of harassment and quantum radio)walk, read this, watch that, wake up, move, look here, listen to this, move, read this, move...

This literally became abusive. It wasn't much of a project or an operation by the government. (They still deny any project is happening. See the hard won proof in the letter posted above.) I dubbed the project "Operation Birddog" because they essentially reduced me to following instructions around Phoenix with the idea that I would run into...I still don't know what I was looking for. I'm not kidding.

Quantum Radio

Quantum radio. Nbic. Skynet. Ambient Intelligence. Intranet. I don't know what the actual name of the technologies are but it's probably an acronym that's classified if the army keeps with their traditional habit.

I didn't know such a thing existed. And those who are on it won't divulge that they are on it because supposedly that gets you kicked out of it. However, others have published about it on wikipedia and you can look it up by the above names.

So, what can you do with it? You can read minds. You can see someone's memories. You can put imagery in a person's mind, like a dream or a movie. You can put holograms and optical illusions in middair. You can communicate to a select number of people in a room full of people. You can manipulate a person's bodily functions. You can open a person's thoughts to a very wide audience of people. If you think this is a joke, how do you suppose there are tens of thousands of infomercials written for me, running simultaneously in different newspaper, movies, news broadcasts, tv shows and the like? I've never met ANY of these people. And they have NEVER met me. But they publish for me constantly. Also, I forgot to mention Facebook and Twitter and Google+.

There may be other things that can be done, but I don't have time to go into them here.

Reflections

I don't know how to handle it when people (i.e. police, celebrities) are not here for justice but for entertainment. Specifically, shaedenfreude.

******

You can find the Ku Klux Klan and the Zionists and the Moslems and Christians all working for the U.S. Army. I don't think the KKK works for anyone else.

******

Supposedly it takes twenty-three hours to produce every hour of television you see. (Movies can be a lot more.) So 23:1. A conservative estimate for Operation Birddog is ten channels (there's a lot more I won't factor like newspapers, magazines, Netflix, online blogs, and photos, etc.) running simultaneously for ten years. Twenty-three years for one year (23:1) on tv x ten channels (2300) x ten years equals 23, 000 years!
When was the last time you spent 23,000 years at something and had nothing to show for it?!

******

The police can become perverse when their faces are hidden. Most people will become criminal if and when
they become "anonymous". Skynet creates psychological and technological loopholes through which crimes are easily accomplished.

******

You are exposed at all times within a "quantum field" that can record your thoughts, memories, experiences and behavior. These recordings can be accessed by others around the world. There are no attoryney-client or physician-patient confidentialities. Skynet opens you up indiscriminately to others, even teenagers.

******

It is difficult to call for help and to be denied it. Never assume justice or professional conduct from the government. I have called every possible police and federal agency (FBI has 300+ distress calls) as well as state attornies, etc. and received no help. Hollywood has denied me compensation and help.

******

My nickname is "Nietzsche" and I don't mind it. Now I have two cool names.

******

I don't think Hollywood or the Fraternal Order of Police take what they are doing very seriously. Operation Biddog is not a hate crime, it's "so outrageous".

******

Allowing the police and the priveledged to operate with impunity is the source of retardation.
A retarding effect on our minds.
A retarding effect on our health.
A retarding effect on our judicial system.
A retarding effect on our economics.
A retarding effect on our relationships and enviroments.

******

The job of the Office Inspector General (OIG) is to investigate "fraud, waste and abuse"--by FBI agents!!!

******

Ironically enough, the wealthy and the priveledged who already have fantastic lives, may also get access to YOUR life as well (ask me how I know). They may know what your husband is thinking. They may know what your children's skin or breath smells like. They may know what your husband feels like to you in bed and vice-versa. They can retrieve your wedding day or your birthday; your honeymoon or the day you lost your virginity.
They can go through these experiences as though they are YOU at the time they happened.

******
